About us

The purpose of the Iola Community Center (ICC) is to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes by serving the citizens of Iola, Texas, and the surrounding community. The organization is dedicated to enhancing community life through accessible programs, events, and services that promote social welfare, civic engagement, and educational opportunity.

The ICC provides a welcoming and versatile facility designed to host community-oriented activities, including cultural, educational, and recreational events. The organization also supports the community by offering free or low-cost space for use by the City of Iola, Grimes County, local schools, churches, and other nonprofit organizations.

In addition to its ongoing community programming, the ICC provides scholarships to local students to encourage educational achievement and personal growth. The organization also serves a vital public safety role as a designated shelter-in-place and warming/cooling center for Grimes County. In coordination with the American Red Cross and local authorities, ICC offers assistance and resources to residents during emergencies and declared disasters.
